Ralph Lauren unveils platinum Swiss watches

Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewelry has unveiled its first Swiss time piece collection, which includes platinum items.

The collection, which was launched in Geneva, is the result of a venture between Polo Ralph Lauren and Switzerland’s Cie Financiere Richemont.

Scheduled to go on sale in April, the watches are available in white gold, rose gold, stainless steel and platinum, with many featuring diamonds.

One of the lines is named Stirrup and the platinum version comes in a 67-piece limited edition set, complete with a certificate signed by Ralph Lauren himself.

The collection has the nation’s “Swiss Made” certification as the movements, or motors of the watches are made by Richemont’s IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Piaget brands.

Earlier this month, Patek Phillipe launched a new presentation set featuring two platinum watches to mark the 40th anniversary of its Golden Ellipse timepiece.
