Vacheron Constantin unveils limited edition platinum watch

Vacheron Constantin has unveiled its latest creation, an exclusive platinum watch.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 was on show at the 2010 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, according to ViaLuxe.

Other features of the limited edition watch include a power reserve of 336 hours and, as a show of the craftsmanship that has gone into it, a tourbillon.
Further complications include a Perpetual calendar and an equation of time, sunset and sunrise.

Other manufacturers to recently use the precious metal have been Breguet, Omega and Patek Philippe.The Swiss watchmaker is renowned for its exceptional creations, and the new timepiece, of which only ten will be made, is part of the Collection Excellence Platine.
As well as the case, the dial is also made from platinum, as are the crown and the folding clasp in the shape of a halved Maltese Cross.
